Stairs are traditionally quite serious obstacles for a skateboard. It is one thing if a stair is rather short and could be got over by making a leap, and quite another if a flight is long – in this case a rider has to walk down the stair holding a board in hands. To overcome this inconvenience and make cruising more exciting, a talented London-based designer Po-Chih Lai invented STAIR ROVER – a skateboard (actually, this is a longboard) with special four-wheel Y-shaped trucks. With these trucks, the long deck could easily roll down the stairs and become a brand new extreme vehicle cruising along the landscapes of the cities.
Attempting to find the most suitable design, Po-Chih Lai created eight models. You can see some of these models on the images below.
