Dark Matters is a result of collaboration of two guys from Denmark – Lasse Andersen and Rune Brink. As they themselves describe their work, they ‘convert concert halls, festivals or public spaces with video projection, static, interactive or mapping’. But they also work in other areas too and one of the most interesting is music video. Their video works are notable for using abstract forms, spatial depth and unconventional ways of creating visual effects (all the effects are made by using different methods, but without computer graphics).
Kenton Slash Demon – Matter
Music video for Danish act Kenton Slash Demon new single ‘Matter’. The fragile journey of the light through space and darkness. Only aware of it’s own presence by the reflections of the environment it passes on the way.
Kenton Slash Demon – Daemon
On their quest for creating classic computer effects without the computer, Dark Matters continues the analogue feel from the ‘Matter’ video. The new Kenton Slash Demon video, Deamon is the take on analogue wireframes in the same naive universe. An abstract space opera about loadscreens based on Strings and nails.
Veto – This is not
Analogue video for Danish act Veto, made with over 200 custom-laser-cut mirrors in a 3 day lab in a studio in Copenhagen.
